A&B Group performs removal and installation of mineral wool for the Air Separation Industry. Mineral wool is removed by hand and bagged for disposal allowing the customer to access piping and valves in need of repair or replacement. Mineral wool is also installed per customer specifications. A&B uses only Cryogenic Grade Mineral Wool that has been certified as non-combustible in air separation facilities. Specifications on compaction normally run 12-15 lbs per cubic foot. A&B can supply the mineral wool or install customer supplied material. Mineral wool, mineral fibers or man-made mineral fibers are fibers made from natural or synthetic minerals or metal oxides. The latter term is generally used to refer solely to synthetic materials including fiberglass, ceramic fibers and stone wool.
